I couldn’t agree more…the first 3 seasons suck, particularly with Jason Dawe. They really only got very good in season 4 with the first car vs. something else race and the first cheap car challenge.
Boooooo indeed! US car manufacturers need to stop catering to what the market thinks it wants and dictate for a change. Risky, yes…but imagine the possibilities of an American car styled by 1 person who is a stylist and not a committee and moronic focus group. Most people are clueless about aesthetics and I don’t want “Joe the plumber” deciding what looks good and what doesn’t…some people just need to be told.
All of the most beautiful and brilliant machines in the world were designed by 1 person or a small group of like-minded people. There has never been and never will be a beautiful and brilliant car designed by committee or focus group.
So GM, if youre listening, throw away the mold and let 1 insane person design the next corvette.
Ah…a genuine diffuser that actually produces a venturi effect sucking the back end down at speed, unlike the annoying fake diffusers on many cars these days like the Mazda 3.
I hate Acura for ruining the TL. I used to love that car. When I first saw the redesign, there was one driving behind me and I was wondering what stupid car was grinning back at me. The grille is just awful!

I had a chat with someone from VW not long ago and they said they had no plans to bring the scirocco here (sadly) and they decided to bring the R20 instead I do like the news I heard today that Alfa-Romeo is coming back to NA sometime in 2012…which further delays the choosing of my next car.
Id love to see cheap car challenges where I can drive a Porsche 928 with a trail of fire behind it or a maserati merak with an exploding engine and a $50 SS badge on the back…
totally agree Chad. Hbrids are a totally misguided effort to “save the planet”. Same goes for plugin electrics. I just don’t get how manufacturers can’t see the vision of Honda with their hydrogen electric car and do the same.
Luigi Chinetti (the famed US Ferrari importer) was responsible for the 1960′s original. Apparently you could walk into the manhattan show room and if you didn’t like the “off the shelf” cars, he would “pen one up” for you.
