We love the Toyo-baru GT-RZ whatever-you-call-it. Its looks, its balance, and finally a real challenger to the Miata (sorry Chad!) The thing is though, we have yet to get our hands on one. Coming home this evening I saw a beautiful Scion FR-S in a metallic orange parked on my street. My wife and I stared with envy. Well, today it just became even better looking.
Feast your eyes on the Aero Package. It features a new fascia, side skirts, a revised rear bumper with added diffuser, and that honkin’ wing! Now looking more like a new version of the Supra, albeit with a Subaru motor and 130 less bhp, this thing is ready to rock your local racetrack and/or autocross event. Toyota has not only made the car look more aggressive but they claim to have made it 100% functional saying it increases downforce and improves handling. The best part is they also say even with all that it retains the .27 drag coefficient and therefore should maintain the same fuel efficiency. So what’s the bad news? Its only being offered in Australia. The price: AU $3000 or with the current exchange rate $3040.57 USD. If you ask nicely you might be able to have them ship the parts to you or you can wait and maybe, just maybe, it will be what a TRD/STi version for the US could look like.
