ALMS in Utah: Final Results and Pictures

Utah ALMS WinnersHere’s something we bet you didn’t know: On Sunday’s American Le Mans Series Race at the Miller Motorsports Park, the track temperature was a mind-blowing 115 degrees. That’s 20 degrees more than the air temperature was outside and with that in mind, it’s no wonder we saw some of the fastest lap times around MMP track in its 4 years of operation.

Of course, a hot track means sticky tires on the ground, sticky tires means a faster car around a sharp corner, and a faster car means a faster lap time. Lovely. Speaking of lap times, here are Sunday’s winners:

LMP- Pagenaud (1:36.482)

LMPC- Bouchut (1:45.170)

GT- Bruni (1:45.756)

GTC- Bleekemolen (1:54.717)

Our local boy, Gunnar Jenneatte, placed second in the LMPC and posted a new MMP lap record for his class of  1:43.881. For those who don’t know what that number really means, just know it’s fast. Really, really fast. But enough boring numbers. Here are the highlights of the race in pictures! A big congrats to Miller Motorsports Park for once again pulling off a stellar racing event.
