An Even More Powerful Veyron?
By AJ | June 16, 2010
It’s no secret that the Veyron’s W16 engine isn’t being pushed to the limits. Squeaking out a few extra horsepower would hardly make Bugatti engineers scratch their heads. Enter, the new Bugatti Veyron SuperSport!
Power? We’re talking a 20% increase in horsies – up to 1200hp. Thought the Veyron was a fatty? Down 660 lbs, enough to heap shame on The Biggest Loser contestants. Performance? 0-60 in 2.2 seconds, and a new top speed of 264mph.
Break your AMEX black out of it’s carbon fiber case fast because there will be only 30 SuperSports made, and they’ll go for a surprising $1.8 million.
We were surprised by the (can’t believe we’re about to say this about a Bugatti) surprisingly low price tag! After all, the Veyron 16.4 Convertible Grand Sport cost $2.25 million for the privilege of driving the world’s most rigid convertible. Keeping in mind this pumped-up Veyron is a heck of a lot faster, we might even call it a bargain good deal.

Wow, now if I could only get a ride in that car, my automotive life could be complete

Even with an all-wheel-drive system, I fail to see how any car could effectively put down 1200HP. Crazy. But awesome.
