Audi A7 Sportback Images “Leaked”, Reveals 5-Series GT Evil Twin

Oh, hello. We like that you like this site. Why not hit this “Like” button? ——->
Audi has a new car coming. It’s called the A7 Sportback and before we go any further than that, you, the readers of this blog, will need to know a tid bit of information that is largely unessential to this post. Let’s go over a quick PR agenda in the automotive industry for the launch of a new car:
- Said car is designed, should be unveiled to the public to create hype well before production.
- Major unveiling is planned at a classy venue or motor show to show off said car.
- Suspiciously professional looking photos are “leaked” before unveiling.
This process is what happens when any car company wants to build hype for an upcoming model. And such is the case with the new Audi A7 Sportback. See, this car is scheduled to be officially unveiled to the public tomorrow afternoon in Germany, but as you can plainly see, we’re viewing it right now.
So thanks to what could only be a disgruntled Audi employee (right?), the A7 Sportback is here now in all of it’s terrible glory. Why terrible? Aside from the fact that this HUGE car will only seat four, it is basically an Audi version of the BMW 5-Series GT- a car we hate.
Yes, we admit that the comfort of the ride will probably be akin to driving a La-Z-Boy and the engineering of the vehicle will be top notch. And who doesn’t love a lacquered walnut tree in your dashboard and sitting on the finest skin of a dead cow? But as we’ve said a million times in the past, aesthetics make the first impressions, for good or for bad. And with a long drawn out roofline in the back, the A7 suffers from the same disease that ails the Porsche Panamera, a car that we fully believe to be the drivable version of Chlamydia.
Of course, looks and design are completely subjective and certainly in the eye of the beholder. Right now, though, we’re the beholder and our eyes are being stabbed out by the A7.
