It may be the middle of summer, but it’s never too hot for a steamy bowl of AutoSoup:

458 Steering Wheel Replica for Xbox Has Us Drooling

Ferrari 458 Italia steering wheel for XBox

I feel bad for the generations of car lovers twenty years ago. If you were a teenager and had the poster of your dream car on your wall, that was it. Unless you had bountiful financial means later in life, that piece of colored paper was about the closest thing you’d ever get to actually experiencing your Countach or F40.

Today, though, we’re spoiled. Games like Forza and Gran Turismo put those poster exotics in our hands without dishing out the $200k it would take to get in them. But what if the experience of an XBox controller just isn’t real enough for you? Then you’ll have to take the $89 leap up to the¬†Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Italia Racing Wheel for Xbox 360. The name says it all- a Ferrari licensed replica steering wheel of the hottest exotic on the market to help boost your Forza experience. One look at the thing show just what a good job Thurstmaster did at sticking to the real 458′s design. Look for its release this October.

This Is The New Porsche 911 Carrera

2012 Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S

It’s been known for a while know that the current generation 911 was at it’s end. And it’s definitely out with the old, in with the new over at Porsche as the new generation Carrera releases it’s glamour shots and some details. The car is longer by about two inches, boasts a 16% bump in fuel¬†efficiency, and will start at $82,100 for a base model. Oh ya- new 3.6L inline six will put out 350 horsepower taking the car from 0-62 in 4.4 seconds….you know, if you care about all that performance stuff…

If you want a bit more umph, you can opt for the $96,000 Carrera S model that features the Porsche PDK transmission paired with a more powerful 3.8L unit good for 400 horsepower. 0-62 time is taken down to a tidy 4.1 seconds.

Or you could just buy one of these instead.

And Here’s The New Toyota Camry

2012 Toyota Camry Profile

While lots of other blogs are declaring the new Camry’s blandness, I think it’s definitely a step in the right direc….ti..o… I can’t do it. This is the new Camry, ‘blah’ as ever but now with bi-plane propellers for wheels and the famous Toyota reliability that will let you pass this new Camry on down to your children’s children’s children.
