Brand New Audi R8 Burns To Death On Dutch Highway

***Come out to the Daily Derbi Karting for Charity Day, May 27th!***
Update: Sources have now confirmed that the fire stemmed from a female test driver stuck in first gear.
Talk about your bad day. From the title and the picture above it’s pretty obvious the owner of that Audi R8 isn’t too happy right now. Especially when you consider that this particular R8 was brand new with less than 20 miles on the odometer.
So what events lead up to the burning of this “fresh off the the showroom floor” V8 supercar (not it wasn’t the V10, thankfully)? Well, no one is sure exactly. What we do know is the matte black R8 was being used for a test drive and that it’s final, flame covered resting spot was on the shoulder of a Netherlands highway.
Boy do those Dutch know how to party, eh?
Now, after driving a Toyota Hilux up a volcano and setting it off, we have a sneaking suspicion that the Top Gear boys may be behind this…

Like I was saying on Chad’s Facebook page:
The Daily Derbi Detectives discovered that it was possibly a woman driver stuck in first gear.
