Cars and Coffee: The 4/17 Edition + RallySport Direct Swap Meet=Good Saturday

This past Saturday for the Dailyderbi team was filled with good cars, good people and good times. We started bright and early with Salt Lake’s own Cars and Coffee and after seeing some impressive rides and meeting some excellent people we headed off to RallySport Direct’s first ever eat, greet and swap meet.

The weather was beautiful and so were the cars at the latest installment of Cars and Coffee. The first thing you noticed upon entering the parking lot was the trio of Nissan GTR’s lovingly parked in the front row. Upon further inspection, we found a tasty Supra, a mean S2000, a hand built Nissan powered Lotus 7 and slew of Evo’s and STi’s.  We can’t forget to mention the American muscle in attendance represented by a twin-turbo Dodge Challenger and a handful of Corvette Z06’s.  One of these Z06′s had a big ‘ol cam and a trick exhaust setup allowing the driver to run in quiet “wife” mode or in all out “street fighter” mode- (crappy cell phone video)

After wrapping that up we headed over to a little swap meet and get together put on by Utah’s own RallySport Direct. The street and parking lots were lined with Evo’s and WRX’s as far as the eye could see.  Everyone was enjoying the chill atmosphere talking cars and swapping parts. Among the many modded and beautiful Evo’s and STI’s were an Acura NSX, BMW M3 and a few full on track cars. No word yet on if and when this event will return but we would say that the first go around was a success.

Of course we’ll keep you posted on the automotive going-ons here in Utah but we highly recommend you get out, see some excellent cars and meet some other car enthusiasts!

I really wish I had made it out to the swap meet. I would have liked to have seen that NSX.
