Caught On Camera: Ferrari’s New F620 GT w/ Poll

Ferrari F620 GT

The official debut of Ferrari’s replacement to their 599 is still days off, but that doesn’t mean we have to wait till then to see it. A reader at GTSpirit was lucky enough to snap this quick shot of the fully undressed Ferrari F620 GT.

As GTSpirit already pointed out, the car relies heavily on styling from other members of the family- a Ferrari inbred featuring cues from the FF up in front and elements of the 458 Italia all around. There are also traces of a Fisker Karma in there, especially when looking at the wheel arches on that massive bonnet. Put it all together and you have a car that isn’t so much a replacement for the 599 but something that looks like Ferrari’s version of the Aston Martin One-77.

Horsepower numbers from the F620′s hugely “adequate” 6.3L V12 are now speculated to be around the 740 mark, which should make this GT car good for a 0-60 speed in three seconds and a top speed of around 218 MPH. Of course, those should all be verified at the car’s official, non-cell-phone-camera-picture unveiling at Geneva Motor Show in a few days.

Totally agreed on the styling cues. I was showing my wife where all the pieces came from. The front wheel arches and hood are California, the headlights are FF and 458, the side is all 458. I. Just. Love. It!

The styling is a little too busy for me just yet, but I need to sit and stew over it for a bit.
