Riding on the success of their V performance division and Platinun luxury options, Cadillac announced today in Detroit that all models in their current lineup will be offered with at least one of the two upgrade packages.

What does this mean? Odds are the overlooked members of the Caddy family will be outfitted with a dose of  Platinum posh that only the Escalade was familiar with prior to this, effectively re-establishing the ‘look at how much cooler my car is than yours’ nostalgia that was standard with Cadillacs of yore.

Their current sedan line up should see a bit of both worlds as well, offering both V and Platinum options. Sadly, however, an Escalade-V isn’t in the cards, as pointless and glorious as that would be.

Will these upgraded options be enough to spark some more life into some of the less popular Cadillac models? We’ll just have to wait and see…
