DP4 Super Go-Kart Anyone?

DP4 Super Kart

We here at the DailyDerbi have driven gokarts, and they’re a load of fun, but nothing we’ve ever driven comes close to the DP4 Super Kart.

Recently, Palatov Motorsports, the creators of the DP4 had their first track day with the DP4, and it was awesome. The Youtube video below shows the DP4 blasting by spec Miatas and even an Ariel Atom like they were small potatoes.

All four wheels powered by a 200hp, 1400cc Hayabusa engine, makes for a game changer. How much does it weigh, you ask? 800 lbs. That makes for a power to weight ratio of 1 horsepower to every 4 lbs. You’ll shell out $50,610 for the highest model, but that’s cheap speed considering it eats everything else on the track alive.

The DP4 is intended solely for track use as it would likely drive under any pickup truck out there, but for the lucky few driving this monster around tracks, you will definitely get some looks. Porsche and Ferrari owners may laugh when you roll the DP4 off the trailer, but that will be the last time.

That thing is insane! It was smoking everything on the Tarmac. It’s a shame it’s so weird looking.

That s sick, but not sure if it;’s 50k sick. I think the Ariel Atom (Also around this same price) is road legal, and just as quick. But it is also less Bat Mobile’ish.

Ok, just saw the Arial Atom it wasted. That + Batmobile Styling edges out the Atom… (unless it’s the 500)

They do have a 120hp model that starts at around $20k. Also check out the DP1 if u hate how the DP4 looks…the DP1 looks SOOOO good!

Holy crap I want one :) A Hayabusa go-kart, what could be cooler than that?!?

The only thing cooler is the 300hp DP1 – seriously check it out.
