Ferrari Announces Plans For High-Performance SUV
By Chad Waite | April 1, 2010
Nooooooo! Ferrari, the pure blood Italian sports car manufacturer, has conformed to the pointless world of performance SUVs! Motorworld Trend reports that Ferrari is announcing plans to build a “high-performance SUV” within the next four years, aiming for a 2015 release. A Ferrari SUV?! Seriously, has that company ever seen anything higher than three and a half inches off the ground?
The real question, however, is the ‘performance’ in that title. Is Ferrari planning for a ridiculously fast ride that will be designed for the track or will they concentrate on a potent mix of speed and off-road abilities?
Either way, it should make no difference for the traditionalist Ferrari fan who, if bothered over some simple Italian tuning, will have a heart attack upon hearing this news.

Lots of people have been hearing a lot about Ferrari’s intention to broaden up it’s line with a High-Performance Ferrari SUV. I don’t have any inside information on the vehicle, but since the Porsche successfully did it with the Cayenne, (and without denting it’s image) There can’t be a reason why Ferrari
couldn’t do the same.
Unlike other propositions for a Ferrari SUV that we’ve seen in the past, the FS 599 Fuoristrada (according to Automarket, that’s the codename Ferrari uses), looks quite good combining styling elements from the past and the present.
The model has already made a worldwide premiere appearance at the Geneva Show in 2010. Which means like it or not Ferrari Fans, The Ferrari SUV is aiming for a public release in the Dealerships somewhere in 2015.
And here is one model of the ferrari SUV….
