It looks like it’s Ferrari week at the Daily Derbi! Not only have the folks at Maranello released the first non-spy photos of their new 599 GTO but the official Ferrari Challenge series has also made its way to the Miller Motorsports Park here in good ol’ Utah.

As anyone can guess, it’s one thing to read and write about these cars online but an entirely different experience to actually see these world famous machines up close, smelling the exhaust and hearing the noises. Seriously, what an epic event!

So what did day one of Ferrari Challenge bring us? Today’s agenda was pretty similar to what the rest of the weekend will bring (although that’s far from a bad thing) and included warm up laps with F430s, 599xxs and the revered FXXs. About 15 drivers drove F430s in actual race laps as well, plus a whole host of exhibitors– yes, including Ferrari– were in attendance.
