Ferrari to Release Yet Another Limited Edition
By Jason Udy | September 24, 2010
Ferrari unveiled the SA APERTA today, just ten years after unveiling the 550 Barchetta at Paris. The car is built to celebrate Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary and is based on the 599 roadster (not a Pontiac Solstice as some angles allude), but with only a snap-on soft top. It is powered by the V12 from the GTO.
The SA APERTA has been stiffened and lowered yet has had enough weight reduction to make the weight difference between it and the coupe minimal.
Ferrari hasn’t revealed any performance times yet but the same 6.0-liter V12 in the 599 GTO, with 661bhp, 457lb ft of torque, its 62mph in an insanely fast 3.35 seconds!
The SA APERTA goes on sale after its debut at the Paris Motor Show.

Drooling…I LOVE IT! Especially the top of the trunk – looks so techy. I didn’t think it would be possible to improve on the styling of the 599…I stand corrected.
