Ford Pro Racing Driver Romps the DailyDerbi Crew in a Raptor

Ford SVT Raptor at SEMA 2010

It’s not every day that you get a chance to ride along on a pro rally course with a Ford factory pro racing driver…in fact you might say, it’s once in a lifetime. Kellen, our pro, gave the Daily Derbi some love in the shape of 3 laps of the rally course and two big-air jumps.  He’s currently prepping for the Dakar rally – yes THE 17 day off-road endurance race.

Those unfamiliar with the SVT Raptor should know it’s Ford’s version of the F-150 that’s designed to go balls-to-the-wall forever. During testing, they were driven 1000 miles straight, through the desert, to test endurance. We’re talking a 5.4L V8 pushing 320hp and a boatload of torque, and Fox Racing shocks allowing 11 inches of travel. Seriously, it’s a loud, angry machine that leaves you asking, “Who pissed in your oatmeal?” but loving the punishment.

Check out the vid below: (Warning – video is NSFW, simply because our girlish screams will make your boss think you’re watching something much lamer than a rally race)
