GM sells Hummer to Chinese

It is a sad day for anyone who wanted a poor performing, gas guzzling, over priced, all-American SUV in the near future. Today GM officially announced the finalized sale of the Hummer brand to Sichuan Tengzhong company of China. GM is estimated to have received nearly $150 million for the iconic Hummer line.

The after effects of this deal are still yet to be felt, however. Many have speculated what will become the vehicle of choice for the scores of soccer moms looking to take their child to school every morning. Only time will tell. Until then, you can take comfort in the fact that the Chinese have gotten exactly what they needed: a huge SUV that pollutes a lot.
