Hyundai Releases Teaser Photo of Possible Tiburon Replacement

By | January 4, 2011

Hyundai releases teaser photo of the 2012 Veloster. The Veloster concept debuted in 2007 as a replacement for the Tiburon. The car is asymmetrical, similar to the Nissan Cube but in a more unconventional manner. The sporty car has two front-hinged doors on the passenger side but only a front door on the driver’s side.

It reminds us of Finding Nemo’s less functional fin. Set to debut at the Detroit auto show the car is expected to use the 148 horsepower direct-injected 1.8L four-cylinder from the Elantra and a dual-clutch transmission.

Not sure many enthusiasts would choose this over the Genesis Coupe.

I want to punch Hyundai in the face even more now.

I actually don’t know to be honest. It reminds me of the Nissan Juke- something way out there, crazy and new, which I kinda liked. I guess I’ll have to see a picture of it with some light before I make up my mind.

I think that part of my problem is that their holiday commercial is still stuck in my head.
