Jaguar and Cadillac Go Head to Head at CTS-V Challenge
By Chad Waite | October 17, 2009

Most everyone is familiar with GM’s new slogan “may the best car win,” essentially pitting their cars against any other vehicle of the same class. Now Cadillac has a chance to put its money where General Motors’ mouth is after internet car blog Jalopnik accepted the challenge by volunteering a new Jaguar XFR saloon to compete directly with Cadillac’s CTS-V.
And GM’s response? The company has not only agreed to the competition but have even planned an entire event around the saloon throw down, calling it the CTS-V Challenge. The rules will be simple- each challenger gets 5 laps around the Monticello Motor Club in New York. The car that sets the best time wins. Easy enough.
The event will be held October 29th and is open to any stock 4-door car currently in production. My money’s on the 556hp CTS-V though.
