Kia Teases With The All-new 2011 Optima
By Chad Waite | March 14, 2010
Remember a few months back when we talked about how new cars have leveled the design playing field? Well Kia has just proved our point. Yesterday the South Korean automaker released several teaser pictures of their new 2011 Optima, stealing a ‘wow’ from our lips. The pictures reveal a much more modern and, for lack of a better phrase, “grown up” generation of a car that was always thought of as bland and boring.
The Optima will no doubt be targeting the also newly redesigned Hyundai Sonata (a car that’s a bit too curvy for us). Specs on the 2011 Optima won’t be released till the New York Auto Show, however, we are positive that the goods underneath the bonnet are bound to be nearly identical with its Hyundai counterpart.
What do you think? Good? Bad? Don’t care because it’s a Kia and not a Ferrari?

It makes me so happy that multiple car companies have figured out how to make a car look good!

It’s got kind of a smart-ass smirk on its grill, don’t it? Kind of like, “Hah, take that all of you skeptics out there.”
Regardless, still not a huge fan of los Kia.
