Nissan Buys Beater Maxima Off Craigslist

By | December 22, 2013

I’ve always been a big Nissan fan. I drove a feisty red Maxima SE in high school and drove the wheels off it. After 150,000 pedal-to-the-metal miles in my hands it was a miracle that it still functioned.

Luke Aker of Ikonic films had a slightly newer version of the Maxima that he sold on Craigslist. The buyer? The original manufacturer of the car… Nissan. Why did they buy it? Because Luke makes films and he made an especially good commercial advertising his well loved Maxima for sale. Now Nissan wants to know what they should do with the Maxima that they paid $1,400 for. He who has the best idea, holds the fate of the tired Maxima in their hands. Ideas are being gathered at Motor Authorities website at the link below. Stay tuned!

I love this story. Guy knows how to make a good used car commercial too.

Seriously awesome :) Good for him! Just shows that a little bit of creativity will take you a long way.
