Falling Bear Is Dead

First, if you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t seen the video of the tranquilized bear falling out of a tree on the University of Colorado campus, watch this:

Hopefully you didn’t get too attached to the animal because it is with great sadness that we report that the bear was hit and killed by two cars on a nearby highway today. Authorities were able to ID the animal by a tag on its ear, confirming that bear that became a meme sensation overnight passed away.

Two cars were involved in the accident, a Ford Focus and a Toyota Camry, but only one driver sustained minor injuries, calling the incident “unbearable”.*

A spokesperson for Colorado Parks and Wildlife said the bear was likely making its way back to the University of Colorado campus after a 50 mile relocation just a couple of days ago.

On a far more positive note, the bear left us with a meme that will give generations ridiculous humor online. To honor the animal, we suggest you try your hand at creating your own meme using the picture above.

RIP Falling Bear.

*Disclaimer: That quote is completely fictitious and has been fabricated simply for us to use the word “unbearable” in this story. In no way should that quote be considered an actual statement from the driver and in no way should The Daily Derbi ever be considered a “news source” where you would want to quote someone….
