Nooooo! Rumors surface of Toyota dropping FT-86!

For the most part, we at the Daily Derbi try reporting on rumors that benefit the automotive world. An Enzo successor; the Top Gear video game; a BMW M5 CSL- the list goes on and on. Today, however, motoring enthusiasts everywhere (us included) are floored to hear a rumor that Toyota has dropped their exciting and super anticipated FT-86 in favor of a “better design.”
Better design!?
According to Japan’s Auto Holiday the FT-86 was only one of three models that are seriously being looked at for production, loosing ground to a design that Toyota thinks will offer more. Ok, fine- that’s Toyota’s opinion. But what about the hype that the FT-86 has generated already? If this rumor is true, and we’re not saying that it is, then throngs of people worldwide will be super disappointed. From the little that’s known about the car, we already love it and are confident we speak for everyone when we say DON’T GIVE IT THE AXE!
