Senior citizens, break out the metamucial and turn up the Louis Armstrong- the Buick Regal is coming back! Today Buickpedia.org reported the mid-size sedan from the 90′s and early 2000′s will be produced once again.

But for fans of the old design (that’s you grandpa!), the celebrating may be a bit premature. Pictures of the new Regal show that Buick has stepped far away from the “capsized boat on four wheels” look  in favor of something more sleek, streamline, and- I have to say it- sporty.

If Buick is trying to make a move to a younger, stronger-boned generation with the 2011 Regal, it certainly is starting off in the right direction.  Let’s just hope that Buick doesn’t dumb it down too much from design to production.
