It’s been a month since the initial round of NASA Utah. This round was inundated with rain, more rain, wind, sleet, and did I mention I’m still trying to dry out my camera!
While this round didn’t have the variety of cars as Round 1, there was no amount of excitement on the track. Everything from the almost-spec open wheel cars, to spec Miatas and Z cars. Add in an assortment of daily drivers, like both new and old Audis, Subies, Lancers, Mustangs, Corvettes, VWs, and a Fiat. To race prepped cars including: Subies, Mustangs, Porsches, and even a Nissan GTR.
What was refreshing to see is that none of these drivers let the weather get in the way of having some serious seat time in the rain! Something a better known racing series could learn from (cough – NASCAR – cough).
Thanks again to Miller Motorsports Park for their help over the very wet weekend.
