Racer Roger Miller Dies

Roger Miller MustangRace car driver and son of Larry H. Miller, Roger Miller, passed away unexpectedly Sunday.

“Roger was a gentle soul and he will be missed,” brother Greg Miller, current CEO of the family business, said in the statement.

Few details were released Sunday on Miller’s passing.

Miller, 45, worked with the company for 28 years in several roles, according to the release.

He is survived by his wife, Cheri Light Miller, four sons, five daughters and three grandchildren.

Father Larry H. Miller, who passed away in Feb. of 2009, was well known for his ownership of the Utah Jazz basketball team, as well as many car dealerships.

Roger Miller was just coming off an 11th place overall finish in the Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge event in Kansas with co-driver, Ian James, in a Ford Mustang Boss 302R prepared by Dempsey Racing.
