Racing Blip: Utah Grand Prix
By Mike Gillilan | April 27, 2012
Nascar K&N / Pirelli World Challange makes a stop at Miller Motorsports Park for the Utah Grand Prix
What to watch for:
In SCCA/Pirelli World Challenge: the introduction of B-spec racing. Think Fiat 500s, Mazda 2s, Honda Fits, etc. All tuned for road racing. Should be a lot of fun to watch!
Also in SCCA/Pirelli World Challenge, GT class, a few exotics: Audi R8 LMS, Ferrari F430GT, Nissan GT-R. Not to mention two Cadillac CTS-V Coupe and two Volvo S60 AWD.
Look for a very intense battle between Patrick Long in the #1 Porsche GT3 (Patrick Long also races for Flying Lizard Motorsports in ALMS), Johnny O’Connel (#3 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe), and long time World Challenge racer, Randy Pobst (#6 Volvo S60 AWD).
The World Challenge broadcast will be tape delayed on NBC, May 27, at 11pm Eastern Time. OR, catch it live, streamed today at http://www.world-challengetv.com/ (10:50am for TC/TCB and 4:25pm for GT/GTS – EST)

That was very much the talk around the track! Some of the media types were still talking about it the following day.
