The upcoming Forza Motorsport 4 is busting out very, very large guns to get the attention of just about everyone. They’ve boasted the game’s insane graphics and driving experience that is supposedly just as real as real life. They’ve catered to a geekier crowd by featuring the Halo 4 Warthog in Forza 4′s garage section. But the biggest play so far has been the unrestricted use of Jeremy Clarkson to promote this game.
All of these elements have come together to create what in our minds is one of the best marketing campaigns- and do pardon this- in the world. I mean, the voice of Top Gear talking about a Halo vehicle…? Honestly, the inner part of me that understands things like AFK, </anything> and Trolololol had an early Christmas when that video was release.
Now comes the next iteration of Clarketing (marketing using Jeremy Clarkson…duh), wrapped up in a two and a half minute trailer featuring burnouts, police chases, an Aston Martin DB9, and Jeremy Clarkson narrating the whole thing. It is- and do pardon this again- the best trailer…in the world.
