Top Gear Tackles Monaco

By | May 30, 2011

Top Gear in MonacoMonaco is known as the jewel of the Formula 1 race season and it’s not hard to see why. Its legendary casino lined streets have hosted Formula 1 for the last 80 years. Drivers like Graham Hill, Ayrton Senna, Stirling Moss and many more have added their names to the long list of champions who have raced on the principality’s narrow corridors. Now 3 more blokes by the name of Jeremy, James and Richard can add their names to that list.

With filming for the next season of Top Gear under way, our favorite British trio took to the track with some special passengers. Riding shotgun with “Captain Slow” was famed ex-Renault team boss Flavio Briatore who was dismissed from the sport for rigging a race during the 2008 season. Hammond had the privilege of squiring Red Bull Racing’s own Christian Horner, team boss of the dominant Sebastian Vettel. Jeremy (as it always seems) got the big fish: the Formula 1 boss man himself, Bernie Eccelstone. By the looks of this little teaser, we are in for an entertaining (as usual) season when it finally hits our shores in 3-6 months. We can’t wait!
