Tuning Gone Wrong: Civic Hybrid Auditions for Fast and Furious

Tuned Civic Hybrid

This tuning gone wrong specimen is soo wrong it’s almost right! We either have an environmentally conscious Dominick Toretto or a tree hugger with an ironic sense of humor. Either way, this Civic HYBRID is definitely in the running for the Tuning Gone Wrong-est Award. Unfortunately, we only had time to snap an image of the backside of this hopped-up Hybrid.

What we can see:

  • Altezza tail lights ala 1999
  • A massive rally wing to help increase down force to the non-driving rear wheels
  • A full body kit including side skirts and bumpers complete with empty exhaust cutouts.

What you can’t see in this image is the massive rally style roof scoop, hood scoop, hilarious front bumper and all the accoutrement that only a true “Green Ricer” can use. Kudos to this driver for proudly living their life a battery charge at a time, granny shifting and not double clutching when they should!

Great catch! What a toolsauce.

They are neither granny shifting nor double clutching since it probably has a CVT. If this thing could grow flowers like the new Insight I bet there would be nothing on the display except bare stems.

Tracey, who puts CVTs in Civics? Hilarious about the bare stems – it probably shows an axe cutting down trees or a club beating baby seals on the dash display. :)

People who drive Civic Hybrids do. Nothing says I love the earth like a CVT…er something.
