Thursday the world saw a Bugatti Veyron being pulled from a saltwater lagoon off the side of a freeway in Texas after a truly heart-wrenching wreck. And, as usual, time has done us the favor of revealing more details on the event.
First, the driver has been revealed to be Andy House, the owner of Performance Auto Sales in Lufkin, TX. When asked about the accident he was quoted saying:
I had dropped my phone, people dont know what happened, the arnold story was made up to by the wrecker driver. What it appeared to been was a reflection.
And while that quote was very scatter-brained, it does tell us that the real culprit behind the accident was a dropped cell phone. Not a 252 mph Pelican.
Then some truly awesome person happened to be at the right place at the right time with a camera and caught the entire incident on film! Warning- this video may be super hard to watch for any car lover….oh yea…it swears during the crash:
A huge thanks to Tyson Call for the tip.
