2013 Ferrari F12berlinetta

Here at the Daily Derbi we all love the new Ferrari F12berlinetta.  It is arguably the most anticipated car of the year.  It first showed its menacing face last week at the Geneva Motor Show and has since stormed the internet and automotive forums everywhere.  The power comes from a 6.3L V12 which produces 729hp and is said to do 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds making it the most powerful Ferrari ever!  Although the price on this bad boy is still to be determined it is estimated to set you back between $300,000-350,000.

Its design is stunning, the power is enormous, and the sound is backbone chilling; however, there is one thing that seems out of place.  F12berlinetta?  Ferrari seems to be slowly breaking traditions with their model names.  Most Ferraris get their names from the engine displacement size for example, the 599 has a 5999cc V12.  The 360 had a 3.6L V8 and so on.  There are very few models that don’t include the numbers or follow tradition.  The two most recent models are the FF and now this.  Why isn’t it called the 630 Berlinetta?  Who knows.

The following is a behind-the-scenes style video showing the F12berlinetta in action.  Enjoy!
