Weekend Pick: VW GTI vs. Mini Cooper S

Today’s weekend pick is straight from 1942, once again pitting the Axis against the Allies. On the right we have the VW GTI, a German automotive staple that is always keeping drivers on the edge of their seat with its needless speed and ability to break down at any given time. It looks good, it moves faster than Kirstie Alley after some pie, and you don’t see a too many on the road so driving one is basically saying “I am my own man!”

On the left we have a Mini Cooper S, a small car that, because of its size and handling, is often compared to driving a shifter kart  (one with AC, radio, mirrors, doors, windows, reverse, a passenger seat, a suspension, and a roof). And yes, we know that because BMW owns Mini, technically it belongs to Zee Germans, but we’re just going to ignore that technicality for now.

So which one would you choose?

Who votes in these polls? They are always wrong! A Polo over a Mini!? An Audi RS4 over an M3!? Seriously? If they are making their judgment based simply on the pictures, which I am sure people usually do, the Mini picture is so much more interesting.

    Sorry Golf same thing!

    Two things:

    1. It was an M3 vs an Audi RS5- not an RS4. And that post was titled “BMW vs Audi: Looks edition” so obviously people were basing it off of the looks.

    2. Jeremy Clarkson himself called the Audi RS4 better than an M3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Atvy2T8Dooo

I have noticed I usually agree with Richard Hammond more than Jeremy Clarkson.

Eh, I actually have to admit I do too….ignoring the fact that he owns a Morgan though.
