How about some more Porsche 911 goodness? This time around, the 2010 #17 Team Falken Tire Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.
What is different about this Porsche over the Flying Lizard MS Porsche? It’s ran by Falken Tire. When most people hear “Falken Tire”, they think of drifters. Why would Falken want to run a Porsche in the highly competitive and prestigious GT Class of ALMS? To create the best performance tires for the Porsche 911. What better way to push an aggressive tire development cycle then running in endurance racing?
Performance specs for the 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR is slightly tweaked increase in both displacement and power from the 2009 version. 4.0L, Porsche Flat six boxer engine, pushing out a restricted ~450HP.
With Flying Lizard dropping out of GT competition for the 2013 ALMS season, and Team Falken Tire committing to a full 2013 season, we are looking forward to catching this beauty in action on the track. With winter testing at Sebring is just around the corner, we can’t wait to see the car!
