Weekend Wallpaper: #33 Magnus Racing Porsche GT3
By Mike Gillilan | January 29, 2012
Today was the 50th running of the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona. Pretty much the start of racing season here in the United States.
What made this running special? A local team, Magnus Racing, took 1st in the GT class. Beating out a slew of other Porsche GT3s, BMW M3s, Audi R8s, Ferrari 458s, Mazda RX8s, Cameros GT.Rs, a Mustang, and a Dodge Viper.
Above is a shot of Magnus Racing practicing with other Porsches at a PCA event held last October at Miller Motorsports Park. The headquarters for the team.
Again, congrats to Magnus Racing for hanging in there and working through all the problems that arise during a 24 hour endurance race and continued luck for the rest of the 2012 season!

That’s awesome some local boys can compete on a world stage like that. Killer photo, Mike.
