When An Audi R18 Crashes At The 24 Hours of Le Mans
By Chad Waite | June 11, 2011
What happens when an incredible Audi R18 crashes into a Ferrari 458 at the 24 Hour of Le Mans? A big-ass crash that blows cars to pieces, sends spectators running for their lives, and super wide tires chasing after photographers.
As is quite obvious from the video, Allan McNish and his R18 tried to overtake a Ferrari 458 by passing on the inside of a turn that proved to be far too tight. One thing lead to another and both cars ended in the gravel, the Audi practically unrecognizable by the end.
Amazingly, not a single person was hurt, spectators and McNish included.

I know crashes like this are serious, but I can’t help laughing at the video of the 1) Cameraman running from that massive tire and 2) the Audi team all with their hands on their heads
