Women Are Worse At Parking Than Men: It’s Science

What: A recent study that shows that women are worse at parking then men.

Who: Women everywhere.

When: As long as they’ve been driving cars.

The Skinny: Ruhr University, a graduate school in Germany, recently performed a study resulting in the verification of the complaints of men everywhere. According to the research women are not only worse at parking in terms of accuracy but also take an additional 20 seconds longer than the average time it took the men to park. And because I know no girls read this blog, I can confidently say that it’s about time science proved this!

    Ok, this is because men are socialized from a young age to care more about anything that has to do with cars. If I had been given car toys as a kid, and if it were the social norm for women to drive everywhere instead of men, then I would be a better at parking. But instead, society expects guys to drive more and puts more stock in them learning how to drive well– hense, you are better parkers.
